Time Square Labradors is located in southern New Hampshire near Crotched Mountain. Our kennel gets its name, not from New York City, but from the intersection at which we are located, an old stagecoach route to Boston that required a toll at the intersection known as Time Square
The first dog we acquired was a black male. Toby was bought as a pet, due to the overbite, and we fell instantly in love with the breed. Having grown up with Bull Terriers, I had only experienced Labradors through my uncle as hunting dogs that lived outside in a kennel. Toby completely changed my views on the breed and it was through him that I decided to pursue one of my life long goals of breeding and showing dogs. And so the search began - to find a reputable breeder willing to trust in me and sell me a quality dog to help realize my dreams. Paul and Sandy MacLean of Ocean Spray Labradors are those breeders and it is their dogs that have created the start of our breeding program. They have been there for me every step of the way.
Our first female Labrador, Sadie, came from Ocean Spray, and was with us for 14+ years. The addition of Ocean Spray Justine Time marked the beginning of a line that is now four generations deep in our kennel.
Several years later, we had the opportunity to purchase Minefalls Mel-Lo from Gary and Laura Witts. We added Minefalls Time Square Willow and Minefalls Time Square Montana a few years later. These lines are the foundation of our success both in the show ring and in our current breeding program.
At Time Square Labradors, we selectively breed one or two litters a year, never more than one at a time. All of our dogs are household members of the family and all puppies are raised in the middle of our dining room where they are socialized on a daily basis. Our breeding program places health and temperament as top priorities and we strive to breed a healthy, sound dog that is happy to please in any situation - show, working, or on the couch as your best friend. All of our breeding dogs are OFA certified for both hips and elbows, tested for EIC, Opti-Gen tested and eyes cleared on an annual basis. Stud dogs are DNA certified as well.
All puppies that leave our program for new homes are guaranteed to be 100% healthy, having a complete health certificate from our veterinarian including beginning vaccinations. We stand behind the dogs we breed and guarantee their health, temperament and soundness. We are available for our puppy buyers 24/7 for the life of that dog. We will take back any of our dogs at any stage in their lives should the need arise. We carefully screen all perspective buyers and require a face-to-face meeting prior to considering placing a puppy.
